Every commercial vehicle must be equipped with the specific reflectors MS 828:2011 as mandated by the Road Transport Department (JPJ). Each commercial vehicle involved in this installation must meet the requirements set by JPJ.

SIRIM developed the MS 828:2011 Standard (Road Vehicle - Rear and Side Marking - Specification) in 2011 in accordance with UN104 (Retro-Reflective Markings for Heavy and Long Vehicles), which took effect on January 1, 2012. In addition, it is intended to enhance the safety of other road users, particularly at night or during dark conditions, while also reducing traffic accidents.
